I first came to this place as a door-dasher a few years ago, the food was always leaving my car smelling delicious. So naturally one day I chose to try the food for myself. When I walked in, the staff thought I was picking up a Door Dash order, but they were over joyed to see I was picking up my own order. Montrose Chinese restaurant quickly became my place of choice, having been open for many years now, it is no wonder they have become of a staple of Houston cuisine. Even on the busiest of days they are always on point, providing the best service with the best food. I especially love the slogan "better food for a better life" with all we know about how good food prevents health complications it is more important now than ever to choose the best food one can. And Montrose Chinese restaurant provides the best option for one's preferences and a more than great price. What adds more to the greatness of Montrose Chinese Restaurant is that they are family owned and operated. Which means the profits from said business stay within the community and are a prime example of what makes this country so great. The inside of the restaurant gives a comforting feeling of a personal touch that only a family owned business could give. In a true testament to how great this restaurant is they more than survived the COVID-19 pandemic of 2020. True to form still delivering the soul warming food they always have. The first time I brought my family here they all loved it instantly. The food was perfect, the noodles always moist and flavorful and the rice always warm and seasoned to perfection. A lot of other places skimp on the protein part of meals. Not here, they know exactly what the people want and need. Each dish packed with beef, chicken or whatever ones preference may be. This is personal to me as most of the time I eat a very low carb diet and it is nice to see a restaurant not cutting corners especially in an era where prices are continuing to rise with no end in sight. On the state of prices Montrose Chinese Resturant is one of the few quality resturants in the inner loop that keeps its food great and its prices low. In the era where places charge $20 for less than satisfying sizes and drawn out with carbs Montrose Chinese Resturant stands head and shoulders above the competition. For under $15 you can get almost two full meals worth of food. Additionally they do catering too and for the quality and quantity I would always call Montrose Chinese Resturant for my catering needs. Whatever the event or occasion, I will always recommend Montrose Chinese Resturant. This establishment is a staple of the community and I hope they are around long after I am and always delivering the best quality food for generations to come. I give Montrose Chinese Resturant a 10/10 in all categories.
